Guys, How would I go about getting the tool to close the hose clamps that HD uses? Are these oetiker clamps? Will any oetiker pliers do?
With my tins off for paint, one of the hose clamps I had to remove was on the fuel pressure regulator, so I don't want to use a worm drive clamp as a replacement. I have the replacement clamps on the way, but I've never seen the tool that one would use to close those things. Anybody have a link and/or a picture of what's used on these clamps and where I could buy one?
You have to get it from the dealer. It's not sold anywhere else. You can surf for it but I have not seen it. I replaced mine with magnum chromite lines and clamps. The original clamps are unsightly and single use anyway. I like the option of being able to take them off more than once. Look into a nice braided two piece line and then get some nice clamps and covers and you will be much happier than OEM clamps.
Those clamps look just like the ones we use to join or repair oxy/acetalyne hoses.
Get the pliers from any good welding supply store.
If you have some of the clamps you could compare the clamps(to the O/A hose clamps) and see if they are the same.
It has already been mentioned by many, Oetiker pliers is the tool and if you google you will find many sources. The Volvos I work on are full of the clamps, I have several. The ones I like are the combo in one plier, they will do it from the side of the front. I used them when I added my oil cooler, worked great.
Thanks guys. Ordered one off ebay for $19 with shipping. Now I need to find a decent source for 3/8" and 1/2" clamps. HD is far too proud of their prices on these.

I don't know if they will sell to the public, but Oetiker is one of our vendors. Their phone number is 800 959-0398.
