Was wondering if any of the knowledgeable would know how the actual build date corresponds to the ship date. When I had the dealer fax me a copy of the factory confirmation of his "slots" order change, it only specified the ship date of October 20 (like in a couple of weeks). I'd like to smile even more than usual on the day my Street Glide is actually built. Any ideas? As usual, thanks in advance. What a great site.
Congrats on the new bike. Mine will be vivid black with laced wheels. Dealer says he'll have it within a week of the ship date. Also having him put on chrome lowers before pick-up. I see you have excellent taste in at least two areas! We've got that in common for sure.

Well I guess we all have something in common. My Vivid Black SG shipped on 3 Oct 06, dealer said barring any problems it usually takes 5 business days. He expects it to arrive Wed. 11 Oct 06 and says he'll have it ready for me Wed. or Thur.. I can't wait!!
Oh by the way mines shipped from K.C., its going to Orange County CA.
The 19th and the 20th must be Street Glide days! I also have a estimated ship date on a SG of Oct. 20th. Coming to Ohio, so It's not too long of a haul. Can't wait.
Not sure about build date, but many told me a week or more for delivery from factory to dealer, mine left on a wed. and was at dealer in georgia on friday morning, I picked it up the next day.
Is there a code in the VIN that says what plant it was manufactured at like the autos have? All my VIN sticker says for date of manufacture is 09-06, no day info. I do know that my Ultra was shipped on Sept. 26th and arrived at Barnett's in El Paso on Sept. 28th.
