Default I need a compass

I'm looking for a compass for my scoot that looks like it belongs. I love picking a destination and getting there by compass

I use the compass on my Zumo gps. I think it looks good on there and I also get to have directions and mp3's.

I can tell you two things -- Read them both before you get excited...

1) A Ritchie compass will fit into the dash if you remove the "Air Temp" gauge.

2) Once it's in there, it will not work unless you remove your speakers.

H-D made a compass kit a few years ago, fits in dash, looks like it was born there.

for my money, I'd use a handheld ( got one)- use my gps, or dead-reckoning- which I am pretty good at.

Ok so I have to ask. Are you gonna install a map holder and a clip board holder to chart your progress? Don't know how your gonna get from point A to B with JUST a compass without plotting bro...

I'm also wondering where to fix my marine compass because we have magnets in the fairing plus electro-magnetic noise due to the fuel pump. Are there remote magnetic sensors that can be fixed at the tip of the front fender or behind the Tour-Pak ?

Pretty hard getting a standard marine compass to read true on a bike. Too much metal, magnets, etc. etc.
"Boxing the Compass" is a chore on a boat never mind a bike.
You will have to do a lot of calcullating and adjusting and may still not get it to work right.
I would just can the idea and go with a GPS.
