LOL< trust me, dust is not a bother - as everyone with a black bike knows, Black is great when clean but it does show dirt more. My bike is an 04 Smokey Gold and black - I ride often and clean seldom - therefore my inner looks dirty most of the time - Like I said, I prefer the mat black, but thats me, I do have my stock fairing and I have not taken the time to put it back - so that must say something, lol - what Iam not sure.

I really like the white bikes with the painted inner....

I plan on using him soon. Just go to Jacksonville craigs list and look under motorcycles for sale, you'll find him.

Can this guy come to Bosoton?!???????!!

I did mine on my 09 SG last spring and was one of the best mods I have done to date, I love the way it dresses the front of the bike out and just looks finished. As far as the dust goes the entire bike is black so that is just part of owning a black vehicle and I have had no glare issues. Below is a link to an old thread with some good pictures of painted inner fairings and a few black ones, mine is on page 4 of the thread. PM me for better pictures if wanted and I will send on Saturday. I say go for it, I purchased a used take off inner fairing and cap andhad that one painted and then I had no down time. But it does not take that much time to do and was fun. Go for it!

Paul is the guy in jacksonville. He did my black inner. He does very good work.

I absolutely love it. It completes the look of the bike. I think the matte black looks unfinished.

I found a painted inner on ebay for 125 bucks and sold mine for 100. I got the carbon fiber looking switch cap as a dealer take off for 20 bucks. One of the best mods. IMO the chrome rings really set it off.

Guy I ride with sometimes had his inner fairing painted to look like carbon fiber on his vivid black SG, really makes it stand out.

Is it possible to do this with the stock inner fairing? Or do you have to go with a gloss one? (from Harley)

Absolutely, what he said!

And, R&R it yourself, not difficult at all.

Yes you can take off your stock inner and have it painted. Did mine this winter looks great.
