Just had this kit installed yesterday. I thought I would say some words about it and to those of you that have been thinking about doing it. This is a great addition to a stock 96" bike. There are a lot of great kits out there you can strap onto your bike. In fact I seriously considered the Fuel Moto 107 kit but decided to not go that far and keep the changes a little simpler for now. My local dealer (Westminster HD) has a deal going on right now. Parts and labor out the door for $1999. I called around some of the other local dealers and got prices ranging from $2300 to $2700. Speaking of keeping it simple... I've done Power Commanders and SERT's in the past but didn't feel like going through all that this time, plus the added expense. So when I got the bike home I took another ten minutes and installed the appropriate XIED's for my model ($110). By the way, nothing against the PC's and SERT's, they are both great technologies. This time I was just looking to enrichen the A/F mixture a bit to cool the bike down and make it run a little better. I may invest in the SERT in the future but for now for a total investment of $2110 I've got a touring bike that pulls like a freight train. Gotta love that SE255 cam! The service manager told me to short shift the bike a little for the first couple hundred miles so I've been shifting around 3200 rpm, doing the old "up and down" to expand and contract the rings so I get the best ultimate compression I can post break-in. I can't wait till it's broken in because I usually shift around 4000 rpm. My old RKC with the 255 cam really pulled great up to 4000. Anyway, sorry for the long post but if you've been thinking about doing it, do it!
P.S. Forgot to mention that I removed the catalytic converter from my header and had the Fuel Moto Jackpot 4" mufflers installed previously. They work great with this kit. Damn, I can't wait to go ride this thing again!
Look below my picture on this post and you can what mine dynoed at. Like he said, it may not be the highest in HP but it does pull. I love it and on a dresser it helps a bunch, I can't wait for warmer weather also so I can get a better feal for what she will do....
Did you get it dynoed? My dealer is doing that kit for $1600 installed.
Not yet, but someone I know with the same exact setup put a SERT on his and after a few pulls on the dyno produced 102 lbs. of torque. Does that price include the stage II factory download? Mine did. Most dealer quotes don't include the download. The kit alone costs $900 plus about $40 in gaskets etc. The download is a separate $200. So for the parts and download alone you're talking $1140. My dealer charges $95 an hour for labor so that leaves less than $500 in labor. I don't know anyone that can install everything and download the new software in five hours. Something seems fishy here. I know they can discount the parts but it still sounds suspect to me.

When I had the stage II 103 done on my 2010 Street Glide last year the price was $2000 and included parts, labor, SE Pro Super Tuner, and dyno tuning. This price was good for the months of November to February when the shop was traditionally slow. I provided the SE stage I air cleaner with zippers filter upgrade and the D&D boss fatcat. The results are in my sig line, 92 hp and 106 tq.
I guess maybe some dealers charge less for their labor. Didn't mean for this to turn into a pricing competition :-) Just wanted to recommend the kit. Maybe it will be even more fun after I get the SERT and properly dyno'd. Gotta save up some more money first though.
I basically started buying parts for a 103" last winter and had it done last week. I bought 103" flat tops/bore-hone stock cylinders ($240), Andrews 54H cams ($208), SEPST ($226), compression releases ($40) and bearings, clutch spring, .030 top end/cam gaskets ($130). Not neccessary but done was complete head work ($450). Labor to install was $900 including tune when broken in. Being in WI tho, I won't be picking it up until late March Did you get compression releases installed?
I did not get any compression releases installed. The service manager said I didn't need them at this point. It seems to start just as easy as it ever did.
