Default Lower Fairing Locking Covers

I recieved the locking covers as a Christmas gift & haven't put them on yet. They came from Harley in their catalog. Wondering if anyone else has done this, is it an easy job, or get complicated ? anyone have any tricks or short-cuts ? Thanks

I'll be following the one. I told my wife I'd like the locking fairing doors for my birthday this month.

I put a set of these on this winter.

I ordered them through my dealer so that the locks match the other locks on the bike (ignition, saddle bags, trunk, gas filler). That way I only have to carry one key.

The installation was easy. The only part that was even a little tricky was drilling out the snap rivets. The ones closer to the engine were hard to drill because I could not get the angle I wanted due to the drill being too close to the cylinders.

I followed all the instructions and other than the rivets it wasn't bad at all.

I also installed the liners at the same time.

Hope this helps.

I bought the HogTrough locking glove doors, no installation required just lock them in place
