Ok, I have gone back and forth and back and forth on the PCV or SERT, TTS options. I've read all the data and just when I was sure it was going to be TTS, I decided to read some more and then talk to Jamie at Fuel Moto, (He seems to have quite the following), as well as the dealer who was going to install the TTS. I then spoke to the only other dealer in the area and the only dealer with a Dyno. I was allowed to go back and look at the new Dyno room just as they were making some final runs on a 2011 Street Glide. Although I suspected I would not go the Dyno route for a simple stage one, I concluded right then and there that my bike is not going on a Dyno. Beating the absolute sheit out of my motorcycle for 2 extra horsepower isn't in the cards. They had that motor running flat out WOT. I could smell the heat and even hear it rapping through the big padded things they made me put on my head to cover my ears. Not for me! The dealer who originally convinced me that they have perfected tuning the TTS without a Dyno requoted the price which was enough for me to give Jamie a call and reconsider my original decision. Jamie seems like a stand up guy and didn't try to sway me one way or the other. He just answered my questions. So tomorrow, I'm ordering a PC V and Harley air cleaner from Jamie. He is convinced that a canned map will work great on my bike with the Screaming Eagle air cleaner Fuel Moto sells and my already purchased Vance and Hines Pro pipe plus a can mapped Fuel Moto plug and play PCV. I have nothing to lose. If it doesn't work out, I'll revert back to the TTS. Man, I'm happy with the bikes over all performance. I'm just looking to cool her down and get rid of the low end lean stumble. And if I get a little smoother acceleration out of her, I'll consider that a bonus. Everyone made me nervous about a piggy back module tricking the ECU and all that stuff but I'm now convinced the new PCV is a different animal and all I need. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
If your happy now I think you'll even be happier after installing your new stuff.
BTW the PC doesn't trick the ECM. It changes the signal it receives from the ECM.

I have the Power Commander V from fuel moto and I can't compare it to any other tuner. The power comander is the only on I've ever had.
What I can compare is customer service. And if Jamie said buy a turd in a blanket and your bike will run great I'd beleive him and Jamie would stand behind it.

Did you notice a difference from stock? What kind of things really stood out as noticably different If I may ask. I really need to get rid of the low end lean stumble. You are only doing the PCV and not the auto tune correct. If I might ask one final question? Did you leave the 02 sensors in the pipes and just unplug them or did you remove them entirely and cap the bungs in the pipe? Thanks much. All this info is helpful.
I've run Power Commanders for years on my bikes. They have always performed flawless and gave noticeable performance increases.
Bought my "Power Package" from Jamie at FM. I bought the PCV, FM Stage 1 aircleaner, and the V&H Power Duals header pipe. The PCV didnt use the o2 sensors, so I just removed them from the bike and plugged the bungs on the V&H pipe with the provided plugs.
Performance increase was very good, and the PCV map Jamie loaded is spot on! No need for a dyno run on my bike.
good choice,i have the fuel moto setup, works great, cooler,more power,also if you change anything like cams,boring,headwork,just call jamie he will send you a map to match what you have done to your bike.

I had a PCV and for whatever reason it did not work well with my bike. I had all kinds of problems with it,it would cause the bike to stall, the engine temp management system stopped working and the check engine light came on and I had to get rid of it. I was never able to get the right tune by tuning it myself due to the setup of the charts. It did not tell you what the basic map was doing it just had the plus 3 or minus 4 etc. data values. I eventually i got a SESPT and have loved tuning my bike with it. I like the smart tune feature also. I have heard that most that have the PCV like it but just did not work for me. I would have had the TTS mastertune if it would have been cheaper than the SESPT as they both work the same. Both the SESPT and TTS have more capabilities than the basic PCV.
I ran the PCV on my Street Glide while it was stage one. After the engine build i changed to TTS. I think the PCV is fine for a stage one but once you move beyond that you need a better tuner. Hindsight, i should have bought the TTS in the first place cause it would have saved me money in the long run. So, if you have thoughts of changes down the road don't settle for the PC.
On a side note, don't let the dyno intimidate you. These bikes are built to withstand the dyno experience. Some people tend to baby these bikes with kid gloves like it's going to explode if it approaches red line. I've got news for you, these bikes can take a lot of stress without any harm.
