Default front running lights

I want to delete the front running light function and just keep the turn signal function on my Ultra in obedience to local laws.I would appreciate if any of you "experts" out there could help me.Thanks

Probably as simple as pulling or cutting the running light wire to the lamps. Otherwise you need to change the sockets to 2 wire type, change bulbs from 1137's to 1136's, and still delete the third wire that powers the running lamps. I'd leave everything as is and cut the third wire. Just remember you'll still need 1137 bulbs to fit in the sockets when they burn out.

I wouldn't do this I wanna be seen by the pri1cks.

But here's easy.

Determine which contact on the bulb is which filament and file the "run" contact down as flat as possible, then paint over the top with nail polish or other to insulate it.

( or you could use a higher voltage to burn out the filament you don't want to use-)

Depending on model the bike may show a warning if lights are disabled, I think the 11's do.

I took my running light/ turn signals off my Standard and put on Street Glide turn signals. Had to take the outer fairing off, Street Glide signals have a 2 wire plug and bike had a 3 wire. Put 3 wire ends on the Street Glide signals so if I ever went back to the running lights it would plug in. I found the Street Glide stuff on ebay.

I believe the bulb numbers are 1157 and 1156. Not 1137 and 1136.

Also you could just wire both filiments to burn at the same time. This way when one burns out the other will still be burning.

Info gained as I want to eliminate the front running lights and just have turn signal. New project for the next cold, windy, or wet days off.
