I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on some Rush Slip ons. My question is, should I go with the 2" or 2.5" baffles. I have a 2011 Road Glide Custom, I don't ever plan on doing any engine work/cams or anything like that. Maybe add the air cleaner and PCV down the road. Any suggestions would be very helpful.
I had the 2 1/2 in my bike for a while. If you like loud they would be be pipes for you.Depends on what you want,if you want the bike to run the best get the 2 inch.If you want more sound, and less tq go with the larger baffle 2 1/4 or 2 1/2.
I guess I'm in the minority but I have the 1.75" baffles and after 3 years and 30,000 miles they are getting too loud for me. I replaced the packing a month ago and it didn't make a difference. Must be my age.
I have almost 40K on my 2"baffles.....hoping for another 40K.
Not obnoxiously loud to interrupt a conversation when you ride by,
yet loud enough to draw attention.....
Deep rumble w/out the high pitch whine some exhausts have.
Checkout the Jackpot slip-ons before you decide on the Rush. My understanding is that the outer shell is Rush and FuelMoto has made some adjustments to the inner core. The tech support from FuelMoto is second to none.
I thought about the Jackpots but my understanding is they're basically the same but the Jackpots are a bit more expensive. I will definitely go there when its time for the PCV and air cleaner.

For me, the Jackpots are far better in quality and sound than Rush. I found Rush to be too loud and "tinny" in sound.
one thing to keep in mind since you didn't mention if your cat is still in there, is the cat will cut back on the sound of the pipe quite a bit. my buddy has the rush 1.75 slipons which i thought sounded real good on his bike, so i went with them not thinking he doesn't have the cat on his 07 and i did on my 10, which killed the sound of the pipes quite a bit and it's just a little louder then stock now, so the 2.50 might be the ones, if your leaving the cat in.
