I bought a pair of 2 1/2" Rush slip ons from a guy here on the forum, and I love them. They aren't too loud, but that may be because my last bike was obnoxiously loud. Plus like others have said maybe it's my age.... only on the other end of the spectrum.

I have the Rush slip-ons with 2.0 inch baffles installed... also running fullsac true duals kit.

currently have 7,000 miles on them and they sound great... the perfect amount of volume for me, without being super-crazy / citation-ready loud!

with a stock motor the 2.5 will make a loss in bottom end. whith the 2 inch I could tell that it hurt the torque. when I put the VH dresser duals on it really hurt the bottom end power. Have just installed the SE 255 cams and rev performance EMS so I am hoping this will solve the torque proble. But they do sound good! They do have a small tinning sound at idle.

To eliminate any confusion, Jackpot mufflers are not manufactured or are we associated with Rush Racing Products in any way. Several years back Fuel Moto offered tuned baffles for Rush mufflers, and we also used to carry Rush products which is the extent of our relationship. In late 2007 Fuel Moto created Jackpot Exhaust and started producing our own line of mufflers and exhaust components. Rush does make a nice product and for info and recommendations they can be contact by phone or thru their website

If you have stock headpipes, I recommend the 2.25" or 2.5". Most people I speak with prefer the 2.5" due to the restriction of the catalytic converter.

Jamie, thanks for clarifying that. Fuel Moto also offers nice products and great customer service.
Rush Racing Products is not affiliated with any aftermarket exhaust manufacturers. We manufacture and sell only Rush.

Be sure to talk to your mechanic before you order them. The reason is that in 2011 HD started putting the CAT converter in the head pipes. So just replacing the slip ons may not give you the effect you were looking for. I had rush 1.75s on my softail and loved them so I was anxious to put them on the new Road King. My dealer talked me out of it until I evaluate whether I want to replace the headpipes.

I will support this statement. I have been riding with the Rush 2.5" the past two years and for me they have the perfect sound. I have the Cat still in the original head pipe and the sound is low, means business and yet not loud. I am confident that if I did pull the cat they would be too loud for me for the long haul.
