plastic heat shields
After searching this forum, I wasn't able to find anyr reference to anyone removing the plastic heat shields directly under the seat on 2010 models...maybe there's a reason for that. Too brutal? Just thought it would allow me another inch when trying to back up the bike...
most guys who have them, like them.
Um, if you decide to loose them, drop me a line- I'll buy 'em cheap.
be handy in AZ, and my Classic model doesn't come with them.
they are ugly, but when you are on the bike- who can see them?
- oh, for backing up, I pulled the passehger floorboards and replaced with streetglide style pegs- I rarely have a passenger, and was whacking my calves on the floorboards.

With a 29 inch inseam, I need all I can get to help me flatfoot. Seems like they are sorta in the way for me.
You may want to look at the HD reach seat. They put closer to the controls and the ground.
I have an 'o4...and I installed the heat shields AND extended the passenger
foot boards out by an inch to help her with the heat. You might gain an 'inch'...
hope you don't GAIN the HEAT.

If the heat is an issue for you after you remove the plastic shields, check out our crotch cooler,s as they lay flat..and they work..
