All vehicles have some kind of draw on the battery to run things like the security system, clocks, computer memorys' etc...is it possible the new security system draws more power than the previous system??? Any techs out there know if the parasitic draw on the '07's is significantly higher than previous years????
My dealer put the battery tender pigtail on my bike, but I guess he forgot to give me the Battery Tender. That's OK I have 2 of them already.
My bikes has sat 2 weeks and I have no problem starting because of the flashing security light.
HORSE CRAP about the little "Security" light draining that battery..........
Battery tenders are installed as the dealership determines......
As an example, where I work, when a bike is uncrated and PDI'd (Pre Delivery Inspection), it gets a Batt. Tender harness, Inspection plate (so the sticker doesn't go on the fork), dip dot and License plate Hardware....
Some dealerships put on those fancy license plate brackets that are machined with their name, and won't put on a tender harness.....
It is all about how much the dealer wants to put into the bike prior to it going on the floor.......
My 07 RKC came with the plug and cable for the tender. The problem is the new tender plugs have 3 connections. MOCO does not make a tender with 3 pins in it. Luckely the old HD still fits using 2 pins. I don't know what the third pin is for.

Nope. In fact, the '07 system actually draws less in storage mode - .7mA - down from 3.2mA for previous years'.
Never had an issue with my 07 starting, and I have had to let it sit for several days at a time without riding.
I always have had a battery tender and charger for all my bikes. If I go more than a few weeks in the winter without riding, I will slap the charger on the tender for an hour or so just to keep the battery in good shape.

What are you talking about?????
Battery Tender brand plugs are all the same... HD does not make or manufacture them at all, even the ones in the catalog are dual pinned.....
