Mine came with a dealer supplied battery tender back in '03... I still have the original 4 year old battery in the thing. That's the longest a 'cycle battery has ever lasted me.
That 3 prong connector looks like it'll last about 5 connect/disconnect cycles before it'll be impossible to use, whatever that third connector is for....
I picked up my new '07 Street Glide about 4 hours ago and received a battery tender and installed harness without any explanation. The dealer also gave me a couple of T-shirts. I just figured that it was a nice "gift" after spending 20K.

This is a quote from HD part No 99869-04
"The full 5A output current is available when used with 3-pin type harnesses and 2-pin charging harnesses are limited to 2.5A."
THe MOCO is now puting the 3 pin pigtail on some new 07 Models. This Battery tender costs $130. Can you tell me if its that much better than the cheap HD tender?
