please help! getting rid of seat marks on tank

As others recommend - get a decent quality scratch/swirl remover & try first. Also, can take to a detailer & see if they can buff them out. Once they're gone - get some clear acrylic & cover the area(s) so they don't reapear.

Note - don't get the tank bra - they make it worse...JMO from once using on auto. Whole front end was dis-colored...

You can use some 3m rubbing compound. a little dab on a rag and a little effort and they will come right off. then polish with a good wax.

A buffer with a good buffing compound pretty much took care of it for me. I also use a Mustang fender bib when set up solo which is most of the time.

Using a high quality, fine cut polishing compound will get it out but it will come right back. I placed some clear 3m protector tape cut to the shape of where the seat contacts the tank. The chrome on the console will also get damaged from the seat and cannot be repaired. Doesn't matter until you change seats and then f#$**^.
