Default Fat Daddys 50 Spokes

Need some input from you guys out there that have done this. I'm installing some new wheels on my scoot but have run into some issues. I took off the rear wheel on my 08 RKC with the IDS which I will no longer be using. And on the new wheel I will be using Ride Wrights own pulley and rotor. Now the bolts they sent me seem to be too long and are bottoming out on the hub before tightening the pulley down. So I have about 1/4 inch of play! Now my question is, Is there a spacer that I'm missing here? Called Ride Wright but they're in Daytona right now. Any insight to this little issue would be great! Thanks in advance!!

You could always put the original wheel back on and take some measurements and then mock up the new one and see if its a spacer issue or if they just sent the wrong hardware. Drew from Dr. V-Twin is a member of this forum and is in the know on the Ride Wrights. You might send him a pm.

Put back the way you had it and ride til you get in touch with them. Or
hang out and wait(that be what I would do).
Also, check all you packing material too, could be hidden parts in there that
you did not know about. Have had that happen to me on a set of wheels.

Are the pulley bolts Ride Wright sent you the same length as your stock bolts?

Call Ride Wright and talk to Them. They will sort it out for you, and yes they are still open. 714 632 8297

Ride Wright includes a thin round piece that is supposed to serve as their version of their IDS.
It looks a bit like an o-ring.
This piece goes between the threads of the hub and the wheel, where the hub screws in the wheel.
The pulley bolts directly to the hub, no spacers.
Perhaps they sent you the wrong bolts?

Are you using lockwashers on the pulley bolts?
I used them; mine bolted up fine with that.

I can't recall the brake side bolts.
Are you certain that you aren't using brake side bolts in the pulley side?

Pulley bolts are larger diameter than rotor bolts.

From my understanding is they went to a new style hub. And this one doesn't come with anything extra it's all together. I believe I have the wrong size bolts or maybe there's a spacer needed? We'll see once I speak to Sam. I'd hate to put that ugly *** IDS on those nice new wheels! LOL!
