Last year I replaced the stock whip antennas on my 2008 Ultra Classic with the HD Shorty Antennas. They look nice, but my FM reception sucks. My CB has much less range, too (I adjusted the SWR).
I like the looks of the whips on the 2010 and 2011 Ultra Classic. Does anyone know if these will fit a 2008 Ultra?
Take a look HD's fitment information for the antennas listed on the website or in the P&A catalog. If they list the same ones for '08 and '10-'11, the threaded studs will be the same.
The CB antenna may present issues since HD stopped using a loading coil with the '08 model year; the '09 and newer CB's don't use a loading coil with the antenna.
Harley's web site shows the 98 and later models share the same AM/FM antenna.
The CB antenna won't work, however. The original whip on my 08 has a loading coil. The newer style CB antenna on 09 and later models doesn't use a loading coil (coil is mounted inside tour pak).
