Engine Went Dead
My 07 would do the same thing when it had only a few hundred miles on it. The technician made a slight idle increase to it (fuel injected) and I never had the problem again.
Check your TSM/TSSM module. It is located right side behind the battery. It should not have been disturbed when the battery was replaced, but you never know. That module has a bank angle sensor in it so if the bike falls over it will shut the bike off. It should be clipped down flat on the bracket. If louse it could move creating a false angle shutting you down.
There is no test to see if these are bad other then replacment and they are very spendy so If it looks like it's in correctly there is nothing more you can do there, but wait for total failure.

Yeah, I had a stalling problem ( especially when slowing to a stop) on my '06 SG (has since been sold)....the dealer could not figure it out (no codes.) I sprayed some carb cleaner into the hole in the throttle body that leads to the IAC and it would be ok for a while, but then it would start stalling again. I replaced the IAC module and it never happened again. Cost me like $40

Wow, didn't realize that that many other people have had the problem. I'll check or get checked everything that has been mentioned. I kept waiting for it to do it again but it didn't. This bike has performed perfectly since the day I picked it up. Thanks all you guys. Just about the time I think my extended warranty is about to run out.
My 06 has done it but only once . I just restarted it and rode on.. Its not the tsm/tssm or you would be getting the check engine light on and other things. Been there and done that. Mine acted up but it was from the crash when it high sided like 3 times from side to side

Thanks n8dc. Well, that's what I did. Just hit the starter and it fired right up. To tell the truth, I sat there for a few seconds in shock because the bike has always ran perfectly. Anyway, thanks for your input. I am going to check out the suggestions by the others. I love the bike and it is a pleasure to ride.
Certain year bikes had Maxi Fuses would cause this. I can't remember what years were affected but the fix, if I remember right, was a higher amp main fuse.
Also, if your bike is FI check for leaking fuel lines inside the tank.

My 99 Ultra did something close to that, but on mine the radio & the speedometer light went out then about 2-3 minutes after those went out it died. Coasted over to the side of the road, hit the start switch it started & never has done that since. I did wiggle some wires on the neck first. Good luck

its happened to me on my 07 road glide.first time i was like you confused. i stopped and it started right up. later on it happened again , this time i pushed on the kill switch before letting out the clutch, when i let out the clutch it started right up while i was still rolling. its happened a couple more times since, i did the same thing , it started right up. it hasn't done it again in a couple of years. never did replace the switch. by the way, unlike alot of people i never use my kill switch to turn off my bike. to easy for me to forget and not turn off ignition.
