58000 miles on mine...I have had a few issues but it was fixed...COmpensator, starter, main primary shaft bearing. I ride my bike pretty hard...Slowed down a bit now... I would get on it tomorrow and ride it across the country...Frame om the 09 and up is a bit different...Drove one and wasn't gonna take a hit on the trade just for the frame...With the cams and power commander this bike goes now...You can have just as much trouble on other years also....**** HAPPENS.
30000 on mine, no problems, did find starter bolts weren't tighten to the new torque values... otherwise have not had a problem at all on this bike. Rode her 6300 miles on one trip and she was wanting more... Running Amsoil in motor and primary, Mobil 1 75w90 gear oil in tranny... If the price is right I'd buy her and ride with confidence... treat her right and she'll treat you right...
Bought my '07 with 30K on it, have over 40K now and have had no issues. Yes the tranny whines but after reading this is normal, I dismissed it. I have had to put on a tire, brakes, battery and replaced the "y" pipe because it cracked, but other than that, she runs great. The only complaint I really have is the gearing but I am used to that so it's fine.
I bought my 2007 Ultra as a salvage bike with 5,000 miles on it. It was running but needed cosmetics. It has 20,000 miles on it now. I did put a Screaming Eagle Compensator on it. It made a world of difference and was well worth the money. I can not hear any 5th gear whine. No problems. I love it.
My 07 FLHTC has 24K on it and the only issue is the starter, easy and quick fix. I would rather have straight cut gears (stronger) vs helical cut. Redline shockproof heavy is the way to go to correct and smoother shifting. Smaller tires = cheaper price to replace in my opinion. My handles just fine. My 2 cents. Enjoy it ...
Close to 34K on mine, primary bearings went out around 16K and Compensator went out around 22K. Replaced comp. with SE Comp. Did a stage 1 upgrade to eliminate the pinging at higher altitudes.
No problems lately and plan on keeping her for a long time.
