Looking at buying an 07 Ultra Classic. Any thing I should be made aware of or to look out for? It's had the service done at the dealer, only has 3,000 mi. on it. I believe that's the first year for the 6 speed and EFI, would that be any problem? Thanks, Dave
I got rid of mine at 88,000kms (Canada eh!)
I had starter issues with mine, apparently the starter isn't strong enough and burns out after a while being it's the same starter that was used on the 88cu.
Fifth gear whine because of the way the gear is cut. (non issue)
All in all a good year, for me anyway.

Wow... been away from the forum for a while - that 2007 tranny thread has 263 pages and 2629 posts, 201,615 hits! un-freakin-believable... Is that the biggest thread ever?

I bought an 07 Ultra in January with 14,000 miles on it and it also has a Stage 1 kit. I have put 3000 miles on it so far with no issues. I traded an 08 Yamaha RSV and love the Harley handling much better than the RSV. With that being said, I wish I had done more research before buying an 07. I went to it blind, and did not know that major changes had been made on the 09 and up Ultras or I would have probably spent a little more money and got the newer model. Suspension upgrade, 6 gal gas tank, Brembo brakes just to name a few. 09 and up has wider rear tire. Do a side by side before you buy.
Yea the wife and I put about 1200 mi on a friends 09 last summer and we loved it!!! Being the motor head I am I already know about the 5th gear whine, I don't mind that kind!!! The starter issue won't be a problem as I plan on doin' the work my self. Thanks for the heads up!! I'll miss the up grades from the 09 but if the price is right I can over look that! This will be another bargaining point for me!
