Picked up my Vivid Black 07 SG yesterday (Friday the 13th[:@]), and I couldn’t be happier. For those who don’t know me Id never ridden a motorcycle before last month when I took the MSF course. When I picked it up I had a 60 mile ride home from Orange County to Moreno Valley in rush hour Los Angeles traffic.
I’ll tell you this it was probably the most exhilarating experience of my life. I rode about 15-20 miles still stuck in a cagers mindset ( I get to call them cagers now!) I actually stopped behind cars in traffic put my feet down and everything. Then a couple of crouch rockets zipped by and I remembered, lane splitting is legal here in California!
Needless to say the rest of my ride was a blast. I don’t see want took me so long to start riding. I regret that I’ve missed out on a lot of fun for a lot of years. By the way I know [sm=ttiwwp.gif] I'll get em up as soon as I get home from work[:'(]
Congratulations, but I must say that you've never ridden before last month and you already have over 2000 posts here??? You must have really done your homework
Did you make it home? If you made it to work in that LA rush hour traffic you should be ok. However Friday 13 + Black= [sm=lildevil.gif] Well are you home yet? Where's them pictures?

Yep a whole lot of reading and research on this forum thanks HDF! I would have been lost without this forum. Oh yeah most of the post are from the games forum because without a bike i couldnt contribute much infomation, but I did ask alot of questions.
You are a brave soul picking rush hour traffic for your first ride. After 6000 miles on my new bike I'm still a might skittish around the cagers. I probably always will be.
Looking forward to seeing the pics of the new baby. BTW order the "Ride like a pro DVD", watch it, and then practice. It has really helped me.
