Installing new bars on my Street Glide. Got everything hooked up, started bike. It ran for about a minute, then I lost all electrical power. Bike shut down and now it is dead. Fuse is fine, battery is fine. What the hell? What should I be looking for?

 

what do you mean lost "all power" like headlight out or just wont crank over?

 

I mean all electrical power. it's as if I have no battery. turn on the ignition, and nothing happens.

 

I would check the 30amp main fuse, it sound like a short in the handlebar wiring

 

yeah sounds like a dead short check the fuse and take a meter and check continuity to all of the wire going to the bars. thats were i would start

 

Then check for the pinched/chaffed wires
