Default hand grip changing on TBW bikes

So is changing the handgrips a pretty straight forward deal on the TBW bikes. Any tips or tricks? This is my first TBW bike so I'm not familiar with them. 2011 SG

Default grip change

I did it last summer. Pretty straight forward.
I just followed the instructions with the Kury IsoGrips.

Yeah, straight forward. Easy.

Make sure to squeeze the front brake lever and put something in the gap between the lever and perch before you start. This keeps you from damaging the brake light switch.

Put the throttle side grip on first and if the grips have lines, indentions or any markings, line them up the way you want them. Then put on the clutch side grip and line it up so it matches the throttle side. Easy.

I did mine last week. Easy.

easy install, got home from work, took them out of the package.i'd say 25 minutes they were on. i think there is a video on cruzer customizing.the throttle side does not even get glued.clutch side does clean it slip it on the way you want it to look/match throttle side make a mark or use tape so when you glue it its in the spot you want it. here they are with stilletos removed and on.not sure i want them on there.

Thanks guys. So they're actually easier than having to get those little barrels in their slots on the old style grips! I found one trick, instead of gluing the clutch side, I just wrap a few rounds of electrical tape around the bar and it allows you to kinda twist the grip on and holds it on very well.

Yes it is easier than chasing that little barrel around on the floor when you drop one.

Not sure about that electical tape though. Here in TX, it gets hot enough to melt the glue on the tape, and the grip starts to move around. I just glue mine with Gorillia glue and be done with it.

A lot easier than changing cable throttle bikes. Make sure that you put the throttle side on the throttle side (You'll know if you get it wrong - I did.) and make sure the throttle side grip is not binding and will spin freely. It needs a little play side to side.
