Can someone explain the point of this? I mean besides raising the tank, looks? or does it have some functionality to it?
Beside the aesthetics of the lines of the bike flowing better, it also exposes the top of the rockers for a better look AND easier cleaning.
On the BT the tank sits down over the top of the rockers, actually trapping heat. This is reduced, plus when the bike is moving there is much better airflow over the engine, helping it run cooler.
