Not crazy about changing my rear shocks on my 09 Road king for the SG shocks so I have decided to go with the lowering blocks. What are you guys finding that work best with the new frame and the 13" shocks want to lower it only 1".
I have the Road6Customs (forum member) set same year bike. They have 3 settings on them so you can go 1", 2" or 3" (too low but looks cool). I have had them for 2 years and they have been great. Some folks swear you shouldn't use them. I used the 1" hole and my ride didn't change at all. Haven't bottomed out once, flat footed is nice and still have the OEM shocks. I would go this route for sure if I bought another bike. I mean for real......$35......that is one of the best deals on the mod list. Just be careful not to go too low and follow the instructions. You may want to move some wiring if that is what you desire.
I also have the Road6customs lowering blocks. I've used them on an 09 EGC, 08 UC and now I have them on my 2010 RK. I only used the 1" hole because that's all I need, but I have had them in the second 2" lower hole with no problems. Didn't change the ride quality or handling.

I just installed LA Choppers lowering kit, they only have one setting 1" and are great quality. They lower the bike without changing the angle of the shock.
They are a sponser on this site, and just after I bought them they helped a member with a set of handle bars. It made me feel good about buying from them. I paid a lot less than the msrp.
I had a set of pingels on my SG 2008. Took them off and put lowered shocks. Pingel works great and are good quality. Will sell them if anyone wants them. Pm me with offer.
