Default Covering my Ultra

I have a cover from my previous bike that will cover my Ultra. However, I have to bend both antenna down and hook them at the seat. Is it OK to store bike with antenna down like this. I have noticed several dealers have their showroom bikes in this manner. If not OK, how do you guys cover your Ultras.

I used to bend my antenna down and hook it into the handle of the saddlebag and then cover it. I solved the problem by cutting my stock antenna down to 24 inches. Most folks either cut their stock antennas or buy stubby antennas for $5. I don't have a CB as I have the EGC and not Ultra.

Thanks guys. I have a cover that I used on the old bike and it fits the ultra if I bend antennas. I used it mainly to keep the dust off while in the garage. I guess I'l bend down the antenna's and put it on. Only problem with the Ultra is it will have to sit for a couple of hours to cool down. It's friggen hot even with true duals and a tuner.

Yep....same problem here. I can usually get the cover on after about 90 minutes.

any issues with bending the antennas down and locking them down on the latches of the tourpack? how do the antenna mounts on the tourpack hold up with the antennas bent down with the weight of the cover on them?

I took a couple of pieces of rubber fuel tubing, sliced them all the way vertically, slip them around the antennas and stick themin the backrest slit opening in the seat...no prob and they stay put!

I have the smaller luggage rack on my tour pack and the antenna hooks right into it when I need to bend it down (which I should have done BEFORE it got caught in the garage door).

No problems for 4 years (other than that 'S' shaped bend in the end from the garage door). I took 16" off of it since then, so don't know how well it will bend for the cover now.... It might be too short and get kinked.

I use the Harley cover and it has a velcro slit for the antennas to go through.
