06 SG -- 25* Injector Upgrade
I just had my 06 SG in for 5k service, while it was there the dealer did the recall fix on the ignition switch and upgraded the injectors to the 25 degree versions. The injector upgrade made a HUGE difference. I did 150 miles yesterday and had NO popping or sputtering at any point, and the 2k rpm surging is completely gone. The bike also seems to run a lot cooler at idle. I'm sure you could accomplish this same thing with a properly set up PCIII, but if you don't need the ability to tweak the settings the 25 degree injectors will get the bike running right. I know it was the EPA regulations that forced Harley to go with the leaner running injectors, but it really holds the bike back.
