I just ordered the Xieds after talking with Steve at Nightrider. I've read all the posts and it looks like a pretty simple plug and play, but if any of you who have installed them on your bike think I can benefit from your experiences, I would appreciate any feedback before I start the installation process. My 2007 CVO Ultra is stock with the exception of Bub 7 slip-ons and SE compensator.
They are very simple to install. The first set of xied's I bought were for an 08 UC. I just followed the wiring up from my o2 sensor's and plugged them in. I don't think your's has to be grounded like the FL-xied's for my 2010. I could have bought the adapter to use my xied's off my 08, but I chose to sell those and buy the ones for 2010's. Have you looked at Steve's website? He might have a short Video on the install. Not Hard, Good luck!
Make sure when you order them, they send the Xied's. My brother-in-law and I both ordered the Xied's through their website, but they sent both of us the Vied's, which are the variable ied's. So far we have had no problems with the Vied's.

Do you like the Vieds? Where do you have them set? (lean or rich) Can you tell a difference? Any change to fuel mileage? Thanks
So far I like them. I have my at 13.9, which makes it run leaner. If my calculations are correct, maybe 2 mpg more. Tomorrow, I will be taking a long ride and will know more after that. One thing I really did notice, is a lot better throttle response. I really like that.
I had them on my '07 FLHTC. They worked very well and even lowered the exhaust sound nicely. On the '07 they are so easy to install that it only takes a few minutes. And just as easy to remove. Find your 02 sensors, follow back about 6 inches and unplug the plug, plug in the Xieds to the two ends of the plug you just unplugged and you are done. Use a zip strap to hold the wiring to the frame at the front, just tuck the back wiring in.
I'm running the X14ied's. easy to install. bike runs strong. still getting about 50 mpg highway and low 40's in town. only issue is the P0131 and P0151 DTC - can't find any leak in the exhaust system so I am sure it is just the ecu/o2 sensor relation caused by the inline enrichment devices, aka Xied's. All the source documentation says to ignore it. Ride safe.
