they can be read from the spedo. do a search on the site for dtc codes and you will find the instructions and what the codes are. easy to do.

Have them on my 07. Didn't notice that much of a difference in power or exhaust sound but they did make a noticeable difference in the heat the motor throws off. Although it does seem the motor smoothed out some.

I bought a set of the Xieds for the 09,they are just sitting on a shelf now collecting dust. They worked great on my 09 SG with drilled out breather back plate and free flowing mufflers. The first thing I did notice was that the clutch didn't feel as though it was slipping anymore and you could let out the clutch and the bike would pull itself without twisting the throttle.

The Xieds came in the mail today and they're on the bike. Took about 15 minutes to install and ten minutes of that was zip-tying them to the front down tubes. According to the website, I got the Version 2. I'm assuming that since there is a Version 1, the Version 2 is a later model. They both have the same part number 100. Anyway, it's been raining here for the past three days, but tomorrow is supposed to be sunny. I plan to try them out tomorrow, but since the temperature is not supposed to get above 63 I probably won't see any real benefit. Guess I'll see how they do when it warms up a bit.

Today was my first chance to ride with the Xieds installed. My observations are based on nothing more than my perception of how these things did what the vendor claimed. I have read almost every post that has been put on this forum and other forums about the pros and cons of the product. Some have said the Xieds "smooth" out the ride. I didn't really know what that meant, until my ride today. Transitioning through the gears is noticeably "smoother" without the jerkiness that I thought was normal with a Harley. There was no pinging. I can't say that this will not happen when the temperature climbs to the mid-90s, but I purposely rode in stop-and-go traffic and idled at several stop lights just to see if it would ping pulling away from the light as it would before the install. The outside temperature today was 60 degrees, but my bike has pinged in cooler weather. I can't say that the engine was noticeably cooler. I'll have to wait for warmer weather to make that determination.

If you asked me are they worth the $100 pricetag, I would say that they are. Just the elimination of the pinging is worth the cost to me and hopefully with the added benefit of a cooler engine this summer, it will be even more of a good buy. Lastly, if you routinely wind your bike out to 4000 rpms and beyond in each gear, this product may not be of any benefit to you. But if you ride like me and seldom rev past 3500 rpm in each gear, I think you will be well pleased with the Xieds.
