Hi Guys I am from the UK and we dont get to see many baggers here, I have at the moment a Crimson red sunglo Roadking BUT very close to to buying a Streetglide the only problem is which colour....
I love the look of my RK in the sun but after looking at a Denim black Sg quite fancy the denim White but havnt seen one in the flesh so to speak...any advice on looking after the denim as oposed to a gloss finish and any advice on what to do with my Sg from the start.
Thanks in advance
Dave
PS
any one in the UK know of a white SG in any Harley branch?
Really like the looks of the White Denim. When I bought my Black Denim Road Glide, a White Denim Street Glide caught my attention, but I had already tested both bikes and decided I wanted a Road Glide.
This is my second Black Denim bike (had an '09 Fat Bob). I like the color for many reasons, foremost, it doesn't show the dust/dirt as much as a shiny bike. I have a rather long rural driveway, and the dust is terrible. My bike doesn't show it.
You don't wax the denim paint, I wash with mild dishwater soap and then blow dry, much easier care than shiny paint.
I am getting the White Hot Demin.. Really sparkles in the Sun... will have bike Monday. I did purchase the Demin Cleaner from HD but at 12$.. it can expensive.... i used to use Simple Green Glass Cleaner on my 2008 White Gold Pearl and then Wax.. user manual says cant wax Demin Paint.. what do you guys or gals use to wipe down ure White Hot Demin or any Demin paint other than hose it down.... after a night ride.. how difficult is it to remove bugs since cant wax the fairing ?? Dealer was really no help...
I love the denim. It is easy to maintain and Sanlyn is correct. It doesn't show dirt. I use regular glass cleaner to get the bugs off and just dishwashing soap when I do a full wash. It has been a dream to maintain. I don't know that I would want to go with a gloss finish now. I'm not spending hours on end polishing and cleaning like my CVO friend. I just ride!
