First Harley.
Up at the front of the bike the engine is making a ringing noise. Dont know if that is normal.
I have fresh amsoil oil in it.
Makes as much noise as my exhaust in back.
Will have to have a harley guy ride my bike to tell me if that is normal
Its not your cell phone ringing is it? Nah, just kidding ya! Its probably normal but I'd have someone check it out. When I came from the Jap Bikes to my first Harley I had a heck of a time getting past the top end noise of my 07 Road King. But my noise was more of a rattling noise not a ringing noise. It sounded like a marble on a paint can. I did notice that different helmets or wind shields made it sound different. It was much quieter when not wearing a helmet. A friend of mine took my bike for a ride and said his bike was louder than mine so I rode it to 38,000 miles and sold it, it still ran good I just wanted a new one. And now my new one sounds just about as loud and my old one. Good luck!
The marble is the rocker arm and the can is the support plate, I have the exact same chattering sound on the front side, I took my valve cover off and found that the rockerarm end play is close to the max. I am waiting on my shims so i can see if this works.
