Mine has 7,500 on the odo now & it's smoothed out a treat. Some cams, a fueller, new intake & mufflers make it a different beast altogether, although it does use more fuel now!
Great choice. Exactly what I'm looking at. But with one month till the 2012 models hit the shelf, I've got to force myself to wait a little longer. I've seriously got "bike envy" though!
Just picked up my limited yesterday. Root beer. Love the color in the sun. Im 30 so you can imagine the comments I got from my friends from buying a "brown old man bike". But I took out Road King, Street Glide, and Ultra classic. Just loved the ride on the Ultra. The street glide felt a little harsh. I really liked the roadking and felt like a small bike handling but liked the radio and not getting so beat up by the wind on a Ultra more. And of course the ride is comfy. It was maybe 40 degrees on the test rides. And riding home 35 miles in 35 degree weather without proper gear wasnt to fun. But just had to get it home.
I too owned a Road King, and bought my first Ultra Limited on my 30th birthday! 1 year and 11k miles later, it's the best decision I ever made. Of course, I've done lots of mods, but overall very happy with the 103 and bike! Have fun and enjoy!
Welcome to the land of the under 40 Ultra Limited riders. You'll wonder why you didn't make the move sooner. You'll have fun shopping for mods. One piece of advice, do lot's of reading on this forum before buying anything. This place is a wealth of information. Congrats.
