Default How far can you go????

I was wondering[sm=confused06.gif] how far y'all can go before stopping to take a break. Do you drive by mileage, fuel or time? I know I can make it about and hour to an hour and a half or maybe 75 to just over 100 miles and sometimes that's pushing it before my bottom gets so numb and starts burning[sm=badbadbad.gif]that I can't stand it any longer. Who knows I just might be a big old tender azz[sm=oopssign.gif]. Thanks for your opinions and responses...

if i am on the road it is a full fuel run, then filler up and do another, repeat until you reach the days destination. the longest run i've done in one day is 650 mi. and my rear started getting sore around the 600 mi mark. the short break to fuel is usually enough rejuvenate me at least enough for the next fuel run.

Sounds like you need a Mustang seat. I ride a full tank without getting off. No butt problems.

Everyone is different when it comes to riding long distance, I like to stop and streach every one to one half hours and break up the gas and food stops. With the wife we have traveled 500 mile days many times, the best thing to do is ride until you get tired and stop, only you know your limits on how far you can ride.

I ride gas stop to gas stop. This ends up being between 160 & 220 miles or 2 to 3 hours. The 10-15 minute break is all it takes to be ready again. I have rode 450 miles with 2 stops, 1000 miles in a day with 7 stops and 1500 over 2 1/2 days breaking every couple of hours.

The right seat, alaskan leather seat cover, riders backrest and I am good to go.

See you on the road.....

Usually we do 125-140 . Then we fill up, have a drink & do it again.. some days we do 400-500 sometimes we do 250. Who really cares, we are just traveling.
