Question descisions

I'm 6'8" and got my eye on either a Heritage Softail or a Road King Classic. I just sold my 2004 Road King Custom and want to get another bike. I would appreciate any advice on selection for a tall rider.

Any RG seems to fit taller people better.I don't know how you feel about the shark, you either love it or hate it.

+1 on the Road Glide Custom for a taller rider, at least in stock form. I'm not just saying it because I have one, as I'm only 6ft, but they just look better on riders that are over 6ft tall. A friend of mine is 6'4", and its the only bagger that look right on him. If you decide on another one of the baggers, then you'll need to run some apes that are at 12" - 14" tall to look and feel right. On whatever bagger you run, you'll also need to push the footboards pushed forward 1"-2". I know that Kuryakyn make a kit that pushed them both out and forward 1". Bikes were just not designed for you super tall guys over 6'4". If you absolutely have to get a Heritage Softail or a Road King Classic, then my vote is for the HST with some apes.

The only way to know is to ride the different models and you will know which is most comfortable for You.

Whichever you get, you will probably be more comfortable with floorboard extensions and good adjustable highway pegs.

I would go with the Touring bike & not a Softail. Then there is the "FUGLY" which seems to fit taller guys. IMO, Softails are way to small for "Big Guys"

if you're contemplating either the heritage softail vs the road king, you'll likely find that the softail feels tiny in comparison. as the other guys mentioned, the road glide gives you a lot more room from the seat to the windshield and i think that's a lot of what makes it feel bigger than a roadking or batwing bike.

I also agree that a touring bike will fit you much better.
