Paint codes
I know this has been posted before, i just purchased a 2011 road glide custom. Im gonna b painting the inside fairing to match the bike, the color is sedona orange any ideas where to find the code or even if you know the code. The dealer only gave me the harley part number.. PPG ?
as told from my local dealer, harley will not release paint codes not even to paint houses performing work. to prevent competition from having awesome paint schemes. dont skimp out when it comes to gettin a painter to color match. i would recommend having them do a paint swatch but make it a pretty reasonable size for you to compare with. good luck in your quest buddy, and make sure if you have them do a color match that you get them to give you the color code so if in the future somethin happens to fairing or whatever you can A. buy the paint from the dealer or B. use that color code
just my 2 cents

See reply #3 for the PPG code for Sedona Orange. You can confirm with your local PPG auto paint distributor.

I don't care if it is PPG, Transtar, Sherwin-Williams, DuPont, etc, trying to match some of the Harley colors, even with a scanner is near impossible.
That is why Vivid Black is my favorite color, it is easy to match, the HD colors with any sort of pearl or flake in them.... forget it.
Even if you could get the right color, right pearl, right flake size, etc, the other part of the equation is the painter and the reducers & clears they use, and there are no 2 painters that paint the same. There will always be some variation in the finished product.
On a color like that I would strongly suggest HD factory packaged paints and chemicals.
