In a prior life I rode a Gold Wing (great bike by the way ... just no real personality). One thing it had that was great was a 90 degree bend in the valve stem so that checking and airing the tires was nice and easy. Does anyone make them for the baggers? I put up with the straight stems on an 01 Ultra, and an 07 Ultra but now I have a 2011 Ultra Limited and it seems harder then ever, especially the rear tire. No real big thing, but just one of those little things that makes life easier.
Agree...don't know why HD doesn't change touring bike stems for easier access. I plan to add better stems during next rear tire change. So far I can get HD's air gauge in there, but still tight...
Something so simple to fix and cheap..... Why cant MOCO see that? Just add another
1000 dollars to the MSRP and fix this problem..................hdman
Hmm, I was going to order two of these, but when I emailed them for fitment info (none on their site) they said they would only fit if my bike originally had 90° stems. Mine didn't so I didn't order them. Did I get bad info?
Someone in an old thread said an angled stem from a Sporty would fit the big bikes. The ones from Kurveygirl.com look identical to the ones from Motorcycleanchor.com but are $2 cheaper with shipping.

The thing with both Jake Wilson's & the Motorcycleanchor units is brake caliper clearance. I don't know about Jake Wilson's, but the ones from Motorcycleanchor don't clear my '07 brake calipers if they're installed straight out. I had to angle them back a little to clear the calipers. Other than that they're great. Mine have been on for over two years with no problems, & checkin' pressure is no problem other than gettin' under the bags. Valve stems ain't gonna help that..............

I really think you would like these better. The ones you are looking at are a bit heavier and will require more weight for balancing.
