Helped a buddy of mine install new Jackpot headers, Stage 1 Breather, Power Vision Tuner, and V&H Monster Ovals last night. Everything is on correct, no issues there.
Made a back up copy of his stock tune and then loaded his custom tune received from Jamie at Fuel Moto. When he took his bike out for test run, the check engine light came on. Not sure what the problem is ...
We loaded his stock configuration back in and the check engine light went out. I'm thinking he got a bad tune from Fuel Moto. Other the check engine light, it seems to run fine but then again, we didn't ride for long.
Question, if we put his OEM Air Filter back on, can his bike run with the headers and V&H Slips ons enough for a ride back home, it's a 4 hour ride. I'm thinking yes but wanted to hear from a voice of experience. iClick, are you there??? I'd really feel more comfortable if he could check with Jamie about the tune he received.
I would think it would run lean if we kept his stage 1 breather on and re-loaded his original tune. I'm almost positive if we returned to the original tune and reinstalled his OEM air breather, it would be fine until he got his tune squared away with fuel moto.
Go to the tools on the power vision and check the the code that is stored under the DTC's then clear the codes. I would then re-download the map Jamie sent as there is a possibility that your first download did not transfer correctly and then I would run the bike to see if that fixed it.
If not then reload the stock. I have found that the stock Nband O2 sensors adjust well to performance AC's so I would leave it on.
Do you really think the O2 sensors would adjust that much? I would hate to think that running under this configuration with his stock tune could hurt his engine.
First email Jamie if you haven't already. Then while you wait try going to Dynajet site and check the downloads section they may have a map that is close that will work ok to get him home. Also what bike/engine is this and any other engine mods done to bike. Someone here might have a PV map that will work.
Good Luck

American Iron has a write up in the latest mag where they added a D&D ex system to a 09 with a performance AC and stock tune. They even state in the article that the stock O2 sensors will and do adjust for this.
I ran my stage 1 with the stock tune last year without any issues. Going to the new cams I then added the PV to get the most out of the bike.

As always, thanks in advance.
Email recieved and map sent. This is likely a slight incompatibility issue between the original map and your stock calibration which is an easy fix.

Jamie, as always, top notch service! Mike is Good to Go, the new download worked perfectly. Fuel Moto is the way to go. Customer service like this is hard to find just anywhere.
