Default Removing 2-Point Docking Hardware

When I purchased my street glide a year ago I had the dealer install the 2-point docking hardware. I have a brawler solo seat and would like to remove the docking hardware to give the rear fender a cleaner look. Can anyone tell me what held the chrome fender rail on before the 2-pont docking hardware? The two button head screws that held the docking hardware appear to be to long.

Default trim cover

Just installed mine-the chrome cover was originally held on with two large Phillips head screws, about 1/4" or so by about 1/2 long

I have had them on 2 bikes but I just don't remember.
You could DL the installation instructions from Harley's website and that would tell you.
