Just picked up the new UC and, if I die today, it'll take the mortician a week to get the smile off!
What a difference from the Heritage. It's gonna take some getting used to on the handling but what a GREAT scoot.
Funny thing, though. Picked it up at the dealer and riding home I'm thinking about what doo-dads I can spend more money on. Go figure ;-)
On top of all that.....if the OL starts complaining I can just turn the radio up!
Dude it reminds me of myself; when I first jumped on mine and hit the highway I was smiling from ear to ear.
Youll find plenty of things to spend your money on, its a Harley. The 1st thing I did was the new pipes, etc. (see my sig). After that the floorboard extenders, the lowers quick disconnect kit and just yesterday I installed the Jiffy Stand extender, love all these upgrades. Oh I almost forgot, the Mustang Low Down seat I ordered will be here shortly, thats it for now.
I don't know why it bugs me so, but I think the first thing you should do to any Ultra is get rid of those crappy hinges on the Tour-pak and put the premium hinges on. I know it sounds silly, but I think it makes a big difference on how the back of the bike looks and my eyes for some reason are always drawn to those cheap crappy hinges!
Congrats on the new bike, but I am afraid that you should have went ahead and bought those do-dads you mention while at the dealer. I'm sure with thoughts like those, you are a few thousand dollars from really enjoying your new bike.
