Cool progressive monotube replacement kit

01' FLHTCI I am replacing my stock front end suspension with Progressive
monotube kit. I know that I'm stepping in some dong with this project but
I'm willing to give it a try. I've never had a Harley front end apart, but had
worked on a Yamaha V-Star and a Honda Shadow with great success.
Was wondering if anyone would be willing to share some tricks of the trade
for me. I've read my Clymer book a couple of times, and it seems to me that
I would be doing a lot of unnecessary work. I would appreciate any tips or advise that anyone is willing to offer. I am 58 yrs old and have been around bikes since I was 15, I would never attempt this if I didn't think I could do it.
I enjoy working on my bike, and know when I am over my head,to sub the job out. I would like to hear from anyone if it's worth the effort or if you think I should let a shop do it?

I don't know what kind of tips I could give you, I have the monotube front end, did it myself. First time, wasn't hard at all, make sure you have a vice. Follow the directions and have a manual for your bike, and you should be ok.
