Thanks for the replies and I wish the insurance was not so fast for once, they picked up the bike and settled the claim this morning. WOW, four days, Progressive was fast. I may have to look into them when renewal time comes around.
Theres a service bullition about it someone on the forum posted.
I found this out after I got it in a curve about 30 mph. Bike became uncontrolable and I went off the road tothe right and into a small ravine. Bike was totaled, I came out with bruised ribs anf a small cut on left eye lid.
Bike was an 09 RK with about 22k on it. Progessive was great sent me a check for my helmet & jacket within a week. When they determined it was totaled, I had a check in a couple of days.

This is troubling! There is a service bulletin, as if Harley actually recognizes the problem of their bikes suddenly going out of control to the point of a possible disaster? I'd love to hear more about it. Picking up an '11 SG tomorrow, and hopefully if there was a recall, it's been done to the latest off the factory.
7,000 miles isn't enough to really have a seriously worn tire or a really out-of-whack steering head bearing. Start with tire pressure and work your way up the forks.
