Decided the Road King needed a little attention to get ready for those nice long road trips..34 thousand miles, time for a good scrubbing and a little maintenance.
Installed front and rear tires Dunlop E3s once again, they wear like iron..check wheel bearings
Rear brake pads, clean pistons in calipers front and back, replace all the brake fluid.
Change primary fluid adjust clutch, check tranny fluid.
Check battery connections..Probably will change out the fork oil,and grease the neck bearing..
Checked a lot of the bolts and gave the bike a pretty good cleaning,it sure feels good to get the bike back in shape Looks like the Winter funk is behind us and it is time to get out and ride..You all have a good season..
hey captain itch, ain't it great to have that spring fever once again? this past winter sorta sucked big time. i changed out my fork oil with screamin eagle heavy and it made a great improvement with the way my streetglide handles. no more nose dive when coming to a stop. yeah, i been doing the same stuff with my bike, it's about time to shake off the winter blues. ride safe.
i agree about the dunlop elite 3's. i'm also very happy with them, or the one on the rear. can't wait till the original front is worn out so i can replace it with an elite 3 also.
After cleaning all my riding gear and scoot, besides all the upgrades this past winter I am ready for the spring riding season to start. Hopefully get to ride the first time today and check out the stg 1. It seems the more it sits, the more I spend on chrome trinkets just to be doing something with it. It's time to ride!
Capn a group of us will be arriving Sat and Sun the 23rd and 24th staying in Maggie Valley and riding the area the whole week. Let me know when you can come sown I will make sure to be there, would like ta meet ya.
Being it never gets to cold to ride and we rarely get snow I ride mind all year round. Matter of fact as hot as it gets here in middle Georgia I prefer the cold over the damn heat. LOL
