I am in the mist of finishing a build. A rubber mounted TC-96A in a EVO rigid frame. Say What? Yep. Anyway, I've been reading all the woes on the HD compensators here and elsewhere. Decided to go with the BDL comp before I added the primary oil, gaskets, and such. So ordered one off of Amazon a couple of weeks ago. Since then I installed the comp with pretty much no trouble. The big question I had was if I had to forcefully remove the HD spring pack from the outer face of the alternator rotor. You DO NOT have to remove that spring pack, leave it there.
