It's been awhile since I've done a cam job, but as I recall, I used a coin. There are work-arounds for almost all the HD tools used in removing/installing cams.

Thumbs up

Steal your wifes plastic cuttin board.
Cut a small piece and just place where the gears are meshing.
Since you've already ruined the board, cut into strips and screw it together. Now when you get into the primary, you've already got your "tool" for locking the comp/clutch nuts.
Since she's pizzed about her cuttin board getting sawed up, pick up a brand new one for her at Walmart for 3 bux. Your her hero all over again.

You can almost always find what you need in the "WIFEYS" kitchen. BUT just make sure you get it before she gets home. Funnel, measuring cups & turkey baster. Don't forget that cutting board. I knew a guy that cleaned his cases in the dishwasher.
