Ok, got a response from Jamie, dosen''t have much data on Andrews cams. If I understand the kits correctly Andrews is the only one that makes cams for the hydraulic tensioner kits for 2005 88 1450cc motors. If I am not correct, someone please point me in the right direction.

Hey Joe,

We are doing our 2004 Ultra, we are running a 95 cu and true dual exhaust, we are using the SE Touring Mufflers.

We are upgrading our bike, we talked to Herko, I got my kit from him it was nice to get all my parts in one place. We are going with the Andrews 48N Cams.

You said you crank was out, did your Indy check the run-out on both sides of the crank? We had a run-out of .006 on the cam side and a week or so later we were on the Stator side and found a run-out of .007, the run-out was almost 180 degrees apart so we pulled the crankcase and shipped it to Revolution Performance and going to have them fix her up and upgrade the bearings also.

I would check that run-out on the other side. On the Cam's I did a lot of research and talked to HerKo to decide what we wanted out of the bike. We run two up and pull a trailer.

We are also upgrading our ECM to the Revolution Performance unit also. Hope this helps.

If you use the SE tensioner kit any TC88 cams will work, I'd suggest SE 204s or Andrews 26s, the 26s are a little milder.

Thanks I was looking at the 26's and think that is the way I may go. I looked at Woods cams also,(they are made by andrews)but are a lot more expensive.
The run out on the pinion is all we checked and since it is out, I am just going to go with the hydraulic tensioners. If I have to put anymore money in the bike, I would have been better off to trade it in,,LOL..I ain't made of money so each change is being well thought out. Thanks to all for the info
