Must read about tapping noise, may solve some problems
Yes another story about lifter noise on these Harley. Have a 2010 ultra bud 7, screaming eagle air, pcv, auto tune S &S 106 cyl with tw-6 cams. I put the cyl on and installed the woods cams everything went well. Got my down load from Jamie @ fuel moto and installed the down load with all the other work. I just put the down load in and went thru S & S break-in procedure run turn off cool down bla bla bla. After this it was time for my ride, and took it out and was light on throttle. I did about 8 miles and started to hear the famous lifter noise, but it started to concern me because I could hear it loader than normal. Took it home and started to figure out why so much noise! Looked on forums and started to read all about these wood tw-6 cams. Adjusted my litters with my Andrews push rod that I installed and measured it with the push rod out an found that 4 turns will put me in the hole .149 thousands. So adjusted them to this. Drove it 5 miles and noise got worse after it got hot. Came back and took valve covers off and inspected everything and check clearance in rockers was .011 cold hot was .013. Must tell you the bike has 6,000 miles on it. I was going crazy and was ready to pull these cams out. I went into power commander and found a shocking readings in my AFR readings they were 16:1 and 20:1 in the cylinders. The bike ran ok because i was babying it so didnt feel this lean condition. Checked into this extreme lean, condition, found that the down load never went thru even though it said it was a success . Re down loaded Jamies map and is know much richer and all that lifter noise is gone. Yes, I made a mistake by not checking my map afr readings but was more excited to ride it. So all this lifter, tapping noise, check your afr readings. I can't beleive this was my problem. Just thought I would pass this story on!

Ok, I'll bite....How do you check the AFR readings? Do you have to have Auto Tune?
At idle and all the way up thru 2000 rpm. Dont no why the map didn't except the first time. Couldn't believe the change in engine noise. May have been running so lean it cooked the oil so thin. Harley does run these bikes lean starting to wonder if everybody complaining about noise because of lean mixture.
Luc. Who Know I'm running 11:1 and about 12:1 at idle, going thru my auto tune soon as this rain stops on the east coast. You having any noise on your bike? I did get shims for my rockers not sure if I'm going to shim yet. Don't understand why Harley has these rockers at .011-.013
