08' Ultra Stock Mags?
The shiny outer part of the rim has marks and stains etc. on it.
I need to know if there is any kind of a protective coating on that part of the rims?
If it is raw metal, I can use NeverDull to shine up. However, if it has a coating over it, the NeverDull would harm the coating.
A search revealed opposite opinions. Anybody know for certain if it is raw metal or coated?
I just got my first Harley, the bike look great but the rims were pitted and stained.
I used mothers polish and there was gray on the cloth right away, I think if they were coated it would of been using it on a painted surface, nothing on the cloth.
Mine were so bad I use wet or dry 400, 800 and 1000, after sanding all the pits and spot off.
Now for the buffing wheels started with Gray, Brown, White and then Red compounds.
This took about 3 hours a rim but they shine like chrome now, I just hope I can keep them like that now.
