Default Monkey Bar Height

Wondering why everyone says to go one size taller on apes than you think you want. I'm getting Yaffe Monkey bars. I was thinking 10".

So. Do you say this for comfort reasons or looks?

Thanks.

It also depends on your seat. My 10" are not the same when I'm on my sundowner vs my corbin gunfighter seat.

Kesean, I like that look. When going with the 10"s, do you need to replace the cables with longer ones or will the stock set work?? Really, really want to go that route but replacing all the cables looks like a lot of work.

i with MassHD its got to do with what seat you have, and even the brand of bars. I'm having 16" put on my ultra but I'm 6'3" and have a hammock seat.

I bought 10's Thinking that bigger apes looked uncomfortable.....ended up adding 4" risers and now I'm wishing I had gone with 16-18's from the beggining....Live and learn....People that know me say they look uncomfortable. They couldnt be more wrong!!!
