Out of curiosity do you really have to disconnect the fuse before you pull the fairing or can you skip that step? Reason I ask is that I going to be pulling the fairing on my E G Classic and that is the first step in the book which means I have to pull the saddlebag to pull the fuse to pull the fairing????
Like it was mentioned it is just for safety. If you pay attention to what you are doing then you dont have to pull the fuse. Just be careful that is all.
