Not using any of this stuff to remove the remaining oil from my system. I am wondering if it is really needed or not. Change my oil and filter then put new oil in. If the remaining oil was that bad and needed to come out, I wonder why there isnt more engine failures.

All you need is to have the engine warm/hot when you change the oil and you will have enough of it out to have no problem. The little bit left will flow through the new filter in a few minutes of running and clean it up sufficient. Its an engine, not a human body. It isn't that critical.
