Default RE: Engine Transmission Interface Covers???

You guys sold me on the cast one - does it cover the clutch cable or do you need that separate clutch cable cover???

How is the install - just a couple new bolts - anything serious - draining fluids to do it???

THANKS.

I contemplated getting one, but I like the way the black blends with the chrome. I think I am just going to go with the smaller oil line cover and then on the other side get the chrome oil plug. That way it all blends together instead of being one gian chrome piece all the way across.

I was looking at the cast one, but didn't like the fact that it covered the oil vent line. In my opinion that Vent line adds to the mechanical look of the powertrain.
I ended up going with:

Ribbed Engine Transmission Interface Cover for Touring Models

Featuring a ribbed design for sharp surface contrasts, this chrome engine to transmission interface cover provides a custom option to conceal the space between the transmission and gearcase cover. Includes mounting bracket and hardware.

66503-02

Fits '02-'06 Touring models. Will not fit models equipped with Hydraulic Clutch.
With this cover the oil vent line is not covered.

That leaves you a few different options for the oil vent line:
[ul][*] Leave it stock[*] Cover it with a seperate chrome cover(p/n 37961-02)[*] Replace it with the Stainless Steel Line Kit(p/n 33111-02)[*] Replace it with a Stainless Steel Braided Hose[/ul]

Right now my vent line is stock, because I haven't madeup my mind between the Line kit, or just making up a section of braided line.
(decisions decisions decisions)
